  • The Bayswater Duathlon will be held on Sunday, 6 November 2011.

  • Registration opens 7.30am Sir Peter Blake Memorial Hall.

  • Registration closes 8.45am.

  • Race Briefing 9.30am Sir Peter Blake Memorial Hall.

  • Race begins 9.45am.

  • Prize Giving following the confirmation of results at the Sir Peter Blake Memorial Hall.

  • If it rains a fun run will be held in place of the duathlon. Notice of this will be displayed on the website by 7am on the morning of the race.

  • The organisers encourage all competitors to have their bikes and helmets checked by Hedgehog Bikes before the event. Entrants/Competitors and/or their caregivers are solely responsible for ensuring that their bikes and helmets are safe and suitable for this event. The Organiser is not responsible for any harm or damage caused to or by any unsafe/unsuitable bikes or helmets.


What do we get with our registration?
All competitors in the Duathlon will receive a T-shirt providing that their entry is lodged by Tuesday, 1st of November.

Will there be medals awarded?
Yes, medals will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place getters.

Are their late entries?
Yes, you can register after Tuesday 1st and on the day but a late entry fee will apply and you will not be guaranteed a T-shirt.

What is the age cutoff?
You must be no older than 13 years of age on the 6th November 2011.

Can we still win a spot prize if we have left on the day?
No, you must be present at the prize giving to receive a spot prize.

If we can't make the race can we have a refund?
No sorry! No refunds will be given.

How do we get our bikes and helmets checked?
All competitors' bikes and helmets should have a safety check by Hedgehog Bikes, Barrys Point Road, Takapuna at least one week before race day. All checked bikes and helmets will receive an official sticker.

Can we have mixed age and gender teams?
Yes, enrolment of a mixed age team is possible however the younger competitor will need to enter the older age group event. For example, if a 10 year old wishes to be in a team with an 11 year old, they will both need to enter the 11-13 year old team event. A mixed gender team is also possible, girls will need to enrol with their male teammate in the boys team event.
